====== REAPER DAW V6 - Digital Audio Workstation ====== ===== Waves Sibilance Plugin ===== * Install Waves Central and activate the plugin * Start REAPER, it will pick up the plugin automatically * Insert audio, for example a WAV file you want to use the plugin on * Either use the plugin on the entire file, or find the beginning and end locations in the file, then select-mark the region in between * Press SHIFT-S to separate the region into a separate item * Right click on the new item and select "Item properties", then select "Take FX" at the bottom, then select the plugin * Set the plugin parameter as you need * You also need to remove "Fade in" and "Fade out" in the item properties of all items of the project * Select "Consolidate/Export tracks" in "File" menu to export the result as WAV file. Select "32 bit FP" as "Wave bit depth". ===== ASIO4ALL ===== * When I first installed REAPER everything worked right away and out of the box, however, after a while I got distorted audio when playing back, rendering was still ok. I never found how to fix this in the settings, but I remember having installed the [[https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/intensitypro4k|Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro 4K]] capture card after which play back did not work as expected. * Remedy: I installed the [[https://www.asio4all.org/|ASIO4ALL]] Asio drivers for Windows audio which solved the problem.
