===== Upgrading a DokuWiki installation =====

  - Check the changes of the new version [[http://www.dokuwiki.org/changes|here]] and pay attention to items marked :!: which need to be considered while upgrading.
  - Download the latest version [[http://www.splitbrain.org/projects/dokuwiki|here]]
  - Unpack the tarball:<code>tar -xzvf dokuwiki-xxxx-xx-xx.tgz</code>
  - Overwrite the existing installation:<code>cp -R dokuwiki-xxxx-xx-xx/* ~/www/wiki</code>
  - Fix ownership and permissions
  - Remove deprecated files according to [[http://www.dokuwiki.org/install:upgrade|this]] list.
  - Command to delete a list of files:<code>find -name file.name | xargs rm -fv</code>
